Cpt Tuttle Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Not the best kit in the world, but actually very fun to build. The rear spoiler in the kit was ill-fitting and strange looking, besides I like the large spoiler more, so it was cut out from a Monogram 78 Camaro body since I probably will never build that one anyway. Badges and side markers shaved for a cleaner look. Grant steering wheel, CB radio and wheels from AMT Chevy van, tyres from unknown source. Sidepipes from MPC 69 Mustang Mach 1. Home printed Swedish license plates. Pretty much box stock otherwise.
Snake45 Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Straighten up your headlights and you're good to go. Well done and model on!
Cpt Tuttle Posted July 9, 2019 Author Posted July 9, 2019 Yes, I saw that now.....cameras never lie..... I got a recommendation a while ago for a white glue that will stick much quicker than usual so parts won't have as much time to slide around, I think that I am going to buy that one and try it. Thanks!
Shambles Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Looks like a challenging build. You done good though.
Cpt Tuttle Posted July 10, 2019 Author Posted July 10, 2019 Yeah, this old AMT kit has some fit issues and a slight warpage of the body didn't make things any better, I guess the new tool Camaro is a much better kit....
