mrmike Posted October 9, 2019 Author Posted October 9, 2019 Thanks Tom and Atin! With all the changes I have made, this is starting to look more like the car I have seen on TV.
mrmike Posted October 11, 2019 Author Posted October 11, 2019 More progress on the Foose Coronet! Foiling is done! Have a look... More Foose Coronet to come...
mrm Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 I have to admit, that from all the Foose kits, this car is by far my least favorite. And I AM a Foose fan. You are doing a great job with the kit. Can’t wait to see the end result. You should take pictures of the body color under sunlight. I bet that green will pop!
mrmike Posted October 12, 2019 Author Posted October 12, 2019 Thanks Michael! I have seen this paint in the sunshine and it is striking! Unfortunately, I have no pictures. I have no pictures of the other models I have used this paint on either.
mrmike Posted October 30, 2019 Author Posted October 30, 2019 I got the Foose Coronet into three coats of Tamiya TS-13 Gloss Clear. More Foose Coronet to come...
mrm Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Looking good, real good! I, personally, am afraid of Tamiya clear. Especially around metallics. It is way too hot sometimes and I have restarted quite few paint jobs due to it. That’s why I switched to two-part clear. I know all the risks with it, but then, I also like bourbon, guns and bacon. LOL
mrmike Posted October 30, 2019 Author Posted October 30, 2019 Thank you Michael! I don't like the complexity or the hazards of two part clears. I prefer hobby clears. Tamiya clears with Tamiya paints and Testors clears with Testors paint. I find that Testors clears are hotter than Tamiya clears. But, always use what you feel comfortable with and enjoy using it.
mrmike Posted October 30, 2019 Author Posted October 30, 2019 A mockkup to check my progress and the stance. Lowering the front suspension made all the difference! More Foose Coronet to come...
mrmike Posted October 31, 2019 Author Posted October 31, 2019 Thanks Curt! I am starting to really like this Dodge!
drodg Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Love the color and great paint. I owned a buffed silver and a copper metallic 1967 Coronet R/Ts. Great cars, kind of sleepers compared to the later muscle cars.
mrmike Posted November 4, 2019 Author Posted November 4, 2019 I have finished my Foose '67 Dodge Coronet and it is posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank all those who have viewed and commented on my WIP.
