martinfan5 Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 (edited) The 1993 Texaco Havoline TBird when Ernie Irvan took it over late 1993 for Davey, Powerslide decals , TS14 for the black, TS Bright Red for the chassis, thats about it, I did not use the wheels backs and instead glued the wheels directly to the spindles, thats about it. This is 1 Of 6 completed, I am on my way !! Edited August 6, 2019 by martinfan5
Old Coyote Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Beautiful Jonathan, simply gorgeous. Those were the days.
bbowser Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Outstanding model with your usual attention to detail. If I may ask, why eliminate the wheel backs, tuck the wheels under the fenders more?
Ironman63 Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Bang up job, dude. Looks great. I'm with Coyote. I miss NASCAR the way it used to be.
PappyD340 Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Very nice Jonathan, yes those were the days, heck I hardly know any of the names out there now and a few I would just as soon to forget lol
Seann Anderson Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 what is your paint finishing/polishing process on the car? It's gorgeous.
wrenchr Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 I remember Ernie in that car. He wheeled it and you nailed the look.
Dave Ambrose Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Very nice. I'm glad at least a few people remember and appreciate him. He was our gateway into NASCAR. We lived in Salinas at the time, and one of our friends went to high school with him. There was some exciting racing that sometimes crossed the line into terrifying.
