JollySipper Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 Hey, guys.... Sometimes I run across the need for a clear that can be applied with a paint brush. Is there such a thing? Thanks....
Modelbuilder Mark Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 If you want something self leveling, I hear that a lot of people have success with future floor polish. Otherwise it would depend on what you are trying to do. If you need to polish it out, etc. The biggest challenge, is finding something that will hide the brush strokes.
Dave Van Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 Future floor shine.....now called Pledge something......used it since 1983.
Snake45 Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 Another vote for Future. I don't use it often, but when I need a brushable clear, it's the answer. And if you screw it up, it comes right off with either rubbing alcohol or household ammonia, and you can try again.
935k3 Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 Future also can be applied in smaller areas with a Q-tip
StevenGuthmiller Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 If you're talking about something for small parts, Testors #1161 "Glosscote Lacquer" works well. Testors also makes an acrylic clear gloss that works pretty good. Steve
