Lotus esprit with engine?

Hi all, I am wanting to build an esprit. Is there a kit in 1/24 or 25 that has an engine,not just a panel to resemble an engine?

Plastic,no resin.

There is also a Monogram Turbo Esprit kit. I'm not sure if in fact it is different than the Sport 300 kit.

That's the first release (1990) of that kit. All four releases are the same (Kit No. 2970), just different box art.

No they're not. Front bumper cover, chin spoiler, wheels, fender flares...all differences between the two versions Monogram offered.

True; but, since George is looking for a Lotus Esprit kit with an engine, those differences aren't a deal breaker if either is available for purchase.

Yes any of the monogram Esprit kits will have an engine.  Dann Tier is reworking the 300 version and I have a thread about the US turbo version that details a few of the issues you will encounter when building.   BUT... the engine is a real beauty in these kits.   Just know that the ride height is awful straight from the box.   The tires are questionable - Dann's version has much better tires.  Kit wheels and tires will work but just aren't right.
