Hi,

I've read some older posts here on the topic as it's been discussed a few times before.

However I thought to bring it up to benefit some of the more recent board members like myself.

Here is an article I just found which seemed to have nice results;

https://tamiya.com/english/howto/bike1/tip4.htm

The gist of it and previous articles are to use a mesh on top of a semi gloss black.  Then lightly shoot whatever color like a metallic grey or gunmetal grey etc... on to the mesh.  Once the mesh is removed you can follow up with a transparent orange, yellow etc... for further effect.

The devil is in the details being;

1) Picking the right sized mesh.

2) Securing the mesh to the surface before spray.

At any rate,  HTH.

I did that for doing the seats on my MINI Cooper.  It is a trick to conform the brass screen, and then spraying the exact amount of paint.  I've considering doing the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento this way, which would take like a whole year. ?
