While waiting for my BMF glue to arrive from Illinois,  (11 days and counting!!!- I've gotten packages from Japan in 5 days) I am back on this one. I had painted it a custom mix of green artists paint but didn't like it. I stripped it and painted it in Testors Go Mango.

Did a little accent to the grille and taillights with the Tamiya panel line accent.

I started this many years ago and it is time to get it finished.

Nice work. Where are those wheels from?

Thanks. The tires and wheels are from the Phantom Vickie kit.

This is off to a great start!!!, NY's postal service does that to us here in Michigan....basically two states away, and i get stuff from Japan faster....i refuse to get anything from NY anymore.

Thanks Dann. Been working on the small details- dash gauges, detail paint, engine work.

Life has been pretty busy lately so the hobby has slowed. Finally got my BMF adhesive so I can make some BMF this weekend and maybe foil my 57 Ford wagon and this.

I got the interior done today. Fortunately these Tbolts were not luxury vehicles, so no need to go all out on the detailing. My plan was to tint the side windows anyway so this, in my opinion, is just good enough. Got to start getting a few more off of the bench anyway.

I got this beautiful PE detail set from my Buddy the other day, so there will be another highly detailed build in the future. I've always wanted to do a nicely detailed Tbolt someday. This will help.

After many issues with paint, I finally got a couple of coats of clear on the body and I'll probably spray one more tomorrow morning. Then I'll let it dry for a while. I'm off work all next week for a class so it will probably sit until Monday the 28th. Ought to be good and dry by then. I also have the chassis up on wheels.

I am looking for a particular style of distributor to put on this thing, and so far no leads.

Here is the body and a pic of the distributor. If anyone has one like the picture or knows of an aftermarket one, chime in.

You are indeed a lucky man. I was trying to order multiples of those photoetch sets back when the Thunderbolt was a newish kit. Performance Detail Products folded not long after, and I never got the chance to order.

...as for the distributor cap, that style was included in many Fords in the late 80's to early 90's.

If anyone has a pic of Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland FH-20 crab-style distributor cap, it may be close.

Thanks gman for the info on the cap. I was told that it is included in the Chill Factor Pontiac kit.

I do feel lucky to have the PE set. I can't wait to use it on a build.

Trying to make my own distributor for this since finding one is proving elusive. Hopefully it will hold up once it's finished. At least this way I can move forward on finishing up the engine.

Well, I have been working on this one again over the last couple of days. I really want to get this thing done! It's been far too many years in the box.

I dug it out on Friday and wet sanded the minimal bit of orange peel it had and threw a fi al coat on it. Waiting for it to dry really good and I'll wet sand and BMF it.before hitting it with clear.

I did a detail of black on the gauge panel. I finally found a crab style distributor for the engine so tonight I began the plug wires. That's about all for now.
