So, I live in Eastern WA state and on 9/20 I ordered a bottle of BMF adhesive off of eBay. The vendor (nothing against them) is in Illinois. Said package was shipped via Economy shipping to my home. Here it is Oct 1 and it still hasn't arrived. Now, I am not really complaining, but this made me think of a story an older friend of mine used to quote from. Whenever we would play cards and he was losing he would say "....and here comes Beetlebaum" so I finally had to look up the reference.

I just didn't know that FedEx used retired old race horses to make deliveries......

FYI, the name is Feitlebaum .

Yes but the Spike Jones version is beetlebaum. I had a Spike Jones record at one point. This was one of my favourite songs. Probably most of them would be considered politically incorrect these days.

Wow, been a long time since I heard a Spike Jones reference.   But I can hear it in my head!

It's got me thinking of doing a build of drag race team with an old, slow car. "Beetlebaum Racing". Now to find a good subject car. Great. Another project idea.

Tom K.  How about an AMT '58 Chevy, or even the AMT/MPC '76 Caprice? Big, Slow boats.

That's along the lines of what I was thinking. An old, worn-out family sedan. I'd like to find a rebuilder of the Johan 75? Cutlass. My old girlfriend had one in the late 80's.

Yeah. Makes me want to dig out my kit, and build one. I DO have at least one copy of that kit. I was gonna build it as a Patrol Car of somekind, but a Gasser sounds much more fun.

Now, Where can I find some "Supersonic Elephant" decals?

Wow, gray and pink never crossed my mind.  But pink over gray might work!  What about a Gasser painted like an LA lowrider?

Blown with injection? I'm liking Hypersonic Heffalump.
