STYRENE-SURFER Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 (edited) Anyone game for this? I'll start out with a really obscure Minneapolis band. C.A. Quintet. It was 1968 and things where weird, wish I had an original vinyl copy, they only pressed 1000 (have an Japanese C.D.) Lets here some SPOOKY. https://sp.nicovideo.jp/watch/nm5835341 Edited October 5, 2019 by STYRENE-SURFER
STYRENE-SURFER Posted October 5, 2019 Author Posted October 5, 2019 (edited) This is of course my all time favorite spooky song... Dusty Springfield version Edited October 5, 2019 by STYRENE-SURFER
Deuces Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Hey, did you guys know that Boris Karloff did his own version of "Monster Mash" back in the day????? There was a video of it.... Can't seem to find it on Google.... ??☹️?
Can-Con Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 I like Oingo Boingo for Halloween music. Forget the "Wierd Science" theme though, "Dead Mans Party" and "Stay" are fantastic fun.
Snake45 Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Bet you thought I was gonna post Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London." Nope. His "Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner" is much spookier. I'm talkin' about the man!
Can-Con Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Here's one I came across a couple years ago. Sounds like an episode of "Twilight Zone". 1
StevenGuthmiller Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 (edited) I don't believe that there is supposed to be anything spooky about it, but I knew a girl in high school that would ask me to turn this song off when it came on because it sounded spooky. "Hi Brad.....You know how cute I always thought you were." www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8RT9yAzYXE Steve Edited October 5, 2019 by StevenGuthmiller 1

Probably just the UFO landing in the very beginning.
madhorseman Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 This song may not really be spooky, could just be the use of the theremin that gives it that effect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqCn35UQeIw
STYRENE-SURFER Posted October 7, 2019 Author Posted October 7, 2019 great stuff, Here is one that is timely. Ginger Baker/Masters of Reality. JB Witchdance Oh there are some great versions of "Season of the witch".

STYRENE-SURFER Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 (edited) If there is one I would truly like to here it. Another cover by "Stone Coyotes ". https://youtu.be/TPmP1NgNqsc Edited October 8, 2019 by STYRENE-SURFER
Draggon Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 I prefer the Classics IV version of Spooky, mainly because it takes me back to my misspent youth in 1968 and when AM radio actually played music.

Yah, Gotta admit that is the best. From Hamberg Germany circa 1970, the Rattles.
