CAL Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Just like it says, which Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spyder is in the Testors packaging? RM, kit car or Fujimi real car?
Zoom Zoom Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 99.999% sure it's an Italeri kit. Testors didn't rebox R/M kits. If it's not Italeri it's the Fujimi. Google, find on Feebay, and look at picture real hard. It's not the kit car.

I am looking and can't tell from the poor picture of the box, which has the model pictured on the cover. They guy is selling it as the M-Vice car, but I don't think that is right. The listing says it's a Testors/Fujimi, but I am not sure about that either.

Understanding it is NOT the Fujimi kit, which is $53 at the LHS, how good is it?
crispy Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Simply put Chris, if you can get the Fujimi 365, then do so. The Italeri can be built, but it is much more of a headache. Of course, you are used to that! LOL Chris

This Ferrari binge is putting me in the poor house. You can get the Fujimi Enthusiast Daytonas for far less than $100 if you buy them from Japan directly. The Spyder is about to be reissued in October, and you can get the coupe delivered to your door for about $38.00. Hobbylink Japan, Hobby Search, Rainbowten...all good places to deal with. Fujimi Daytona Fujimi Daytona Spyder Paying more than $25 for an Italeri Daytona would be crazy.
CAL Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 what's wrong with the Monogram Daytona? i got a thing for Ferrari kits too and i agree they can get expensive! Dave It's not a Ferrari, it is a Corvette.
MrObsessive Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Chris, do yourself a favor and get the Fujimi Daytona! Both are EXCELLENT kits as I have both the coupe and the Spyder. Details are abundant, but not as fussy as what's happening with your GTO. I originally built a Spyder back in the late '80's and even with what my skills were then, I didn't have much trouble building one at all! That's good to know Bob! Two of Fujimi's best kits are making a comeback! The price is not bad at all considering how much detail those kits have.
crispy Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 (edited) I've gotten a couple of good deals on the Fujimi kits via ebay. Then Fujimi started to re-issue some of the EM kits. Here's where I am at with just the 365's: Chris Edited September 23, 2008 by crispy
george 53 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 What Chris, yer buyin up FERRARIS an your worried about the cost? If ya can afford the gas fer them rascals, buyin a new one should be a peice a cake! Jus Butch up an buy to yer hearts content, an show them "Corvarris" your on to them! It'll turn out great, WHATEVER you build!
Randy Kern Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Chris, I'll help build one of those Spyders. I promise not to put a 'Vette motor in it
Gray Smith Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 I'll second or third all the suggestions on the Fujimi Daytona kit, its a good kit to build considering it is one of thier em kits. I've been working on mine for a while(daytona speciale) and after building an em Porsche 911 kit, it really is easier, and just as detailed, I've even customized mine some.. I really need to get it finished one of these days.. Gray

Gray Smith Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 that is the speciale kit, it comes with the small hard top, different front and rear bupperets, and a different shaped rear trunklid since those are true to the 1:1 of the one speciale made... btw it doesn't come with the parts to make it a convertible...
