I ordered a 1962 Ford sedan kit in resin. It comes with a molded chassis and an open engine compartment but no engine. I was hoping someone here could suggest what kit could supply engine and better chassis. I was thinking the 60 Ford or perhaps the 63 ??  Thanks

For simplicity I'd go with the '63, but personally I like a lot more detail in the chassis so I'd picked the '60. Separate everything, nice details, you might have to do some tweaking as far as the chassis itself as I'm not familiar with the resin kit you got.

Hope this helps Ray!

The 60 ford kit has been mentioned as well as the Edsel in the past to up date this era Ford. Though the are not correct they look better than the one piece unit. I guess it just depends how picky you are with what is correct. I think the 60 Ford kit has 2 engines in one of the offerings.

Yep! Use the AMT '60 Starliner kit.... The latest kit has 2 complete FE style engines with 3 different intake manifold setups..... ??

Great kit. There's also the boxtop 61 if you need top for DIY. Resin easier, esp. for 62.

I've got 60-62 Hubley wagon kits, but have never had the 60 in same place at same time with any of them. Probably a bit narrow/short for the Hubley, I guess. :(

60 all the way.
I have more 60 Starliner bodies lying around more than any other parts. I always use the chassis and other things for any 61,62,63,or 64 big Ford.
