I built this Gasser in 1974 when I was 17. I chopped the roof and built a flatbead out of popsicle sticks. If my memory is correct the color is Ford Chrome Yellow Duplicolor aerosol lacquer. Built for fun not accuracy.

Very, VERY nice! Always great to see old survivors. Though I have to admit when I saw the thread title, I expected to see a Willys MB (WWII Jeep) turned into a gasser. B)

You did a nice job on the chop and the scratch built bed, especially for the time! Looks like it has nice paint and detail too!

Pretty cool that you’ve held onto it all this while! I didn’t keep any of my childhood models, wish I did! Looks good ?
