ramblerman Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 I built this Gasser in 1974 when I was 17. I chopped the roof and built a flatbead out of popsicle sticks. If my memory is correct the color is Ford Chrome Yellow Duplicolor aerosol lacquer. Built for fun not accuracy.
Snake45 Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Very, VERY nice! Always great to see old survivors. Though I have to admit when I saw the thread title, I expected to see a Willys MB (WWII Jeep) turned into a gasser.
larman Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 You did a nice job on the chop and the scratch built bed, especially for the time! Looks like it has nice paint and detail too!
Hmann68 Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 Pretty cool that you’ve held onto it all this while! I didn’t keep any of my childhood models, wish I did! Looks good ?
ramblerman Posted November 7, 2019 Author Posted November 7, 2019 Thanks for all of the positive feedback.
carrucha Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 Good to see that it has survived. It looks nice.
Hotrod 97 Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 Awesome Gasser build, Jim! Very nice work on the chop and flatbed.
