Pete68 Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 I bought this kit off EBay about 2 yrs ago and this kit brings back a lot of memories to me. I think it was Christmas of 1979 Mom and Dad got this kit for me and my brother Bill got me the GMC General the same Christmas I have a pic of them some where that my mom took of them when I finished them. They were my first model trucks. That was 40yrs ago so I thought I would build one for the Anniversary of this first model truck I got. I will be adding some spoke wheels and a tarp and a headache rack to this build. Hope you will follow along. 1

DRIPTROIT 71 Posted December 27, 2019 Posted December 27, 2019 Man that looks good! I may have to change scales! The spoke wheels were the right choice for sure! 1
Pete68 Posted December 28, 2019 Author Posted December 28, 2019 Thanks Brian I’ve always wanted to put a set of spokes on one of these Bisons/Generals and these 1/32 scale trucks are nice 1
Pete68 Posted December 28, 2019 Author Posted December 28, 2019 Thanks Vince hope I can get this done soon 1

Added a decal to the Air Cleaner and installed Black Washed the grill the chrome is coming off so I will redoing that Finished the Interior and added the Glass mounted it into the cab Next I will be adding the Cab Lights, Air Horns and putting the Cab/Sleeper on the frame after I added the Tool Box Edited January 5, 2020 by Pete68 1
tbill Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 I may have to rethink these smaller scale rigs, that’s just too cool! 1
Pete68 Posted July 4, 2022 Author Posted July 4, 2022 While having my 1/32 scale out I ran across this build from 2019. So I decide to build on it and maybe finish this one too. Last night I added the Cab lights, Horns, Tarp, Luberfiner and mounted the Cab/Sleeper to the frame. Today I made some bracelets for the toolbox and filed the bumper down thinner and de-chromed it. 2
Rockford Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 I'm glad you remembered this! Looks great. Couple of questions, do you recall where did the wheels come from? I'm assuming you must have cut the centres out of the tyres to get the wheels in. Good call on the bumper too, kit piece is far too deep. 2

Hope to finish this one tomorrow or tonight 1
Pete68 Posted July 5, 2022 Author Posted July 5, 2022 Before calling it quits for the day I added some license plate decals to the bumper and Company decals to the tanks and a stripe to the Luberfiner 2
Rockford Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 This looks absolutely great. The wheels make all the difference. Really looking forward to seeing the finished result. 2

BK9300 Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Really clean build, Lee - you give all these trucks extra detailing and it shows well! 2

Thanks for the nice complement I appreciate it. I know I don’t go all out with Extreme details on these mostly box stock that’s the way I enjoy building them and I’m glad you like them. 1
Biggu Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 (edited) The rims and headache rack make this into a solid work truck …… a great match that pulls it all together. Looks great!! Edited November 21, 2024 by Biggu 1
