Yeah Tom......  "I can go a hundred miles an hour as long as I've got the Almighty Power glued up there by my pair of fuzzy dice".

As a Canadian, my only knowledge of Imus was through Howard's show.

Although they sparred, I think there was a mutual respect there. Will be interesting to see what Howard says when he's back from his Christmas break.

Oh man, that sucks. My father was a huge fan and listened to him in NY on 66 WNBC, back in the day, even before WFAN started.Imus in the morning drive, and Howard Stern on the drive home, when I use to go to work with my father. He was pretty nutty, like his brother, but very funny. My father is pretty upset, despite that he stopped listening to him awhile ago...RIP..Imus in the morning??

Strangely enough, he was also close friends with Glenn Beck. Will also be interesting to hear what Beck has to say.

One of the funniest things I've ever heard on the radio was a phone call between them about three years ago. I was listening on The Blaze direct feed and it included a couple moments I'm sure had to be censored for broadcast air.

Sad to hear of this news. I too am curious to hear what Howard is gonna say. I think this will might put him over the edge and this be his last year. He will not want retire like Imus with so little time to enjoy it.

Howard's been saying that he'll be retiring at the end of his current contract for 35 years. He'll say the same thing in 2024, one year before his then current five year contract ends. Time to watch "Butt Bongo Fiesta" in 3D.
