I built the AMT 58 kit some years ago and glued the doors shut because they don't look right anyway and the kit is not that bad...the most demanding job was to foil all the trim as there are lots of it.
The Revell kit was originally a diecast and they shot plastic in the diecast tool to do a regular model kit from it so it's a little thick here and there but it's not bad at all, one thing that goes for it is that much of the trim are separate plated pieces so you don't have to do so much foiling.

It's a 396 for sure. I'm building that kit right now (in memory of Dad).

I'm building it as closely as I can to his last "cool car" that he "gave up" for me - a 65 SS Impala in Evening Orchid Metallic, black interior, 283/4spd car (bought new) complete w/ chrome reverse rims/baby moon covers.

I think we've all thought of things like this!  I have every full size Chevy, some of them assembled restorable models.  And I've envisioned them all sitting side by side on my shelf.  Of course I've done NONE of them!  ?

Ah! The things we do for our kids.  I had a 1960 Buick Electra two door hardtop that I hadn't restored in my years of owning it. I sold it with the intentions of using the funds to finally restore my 1965 Barracuda.  A college tuition payment for my daughter came due, guess where the money went?

Does the Foose Impala have a complete floorpan on the chassis?  The Revell 65 Lowrider and 66 Streetburner (basically same kit with different bodies and engines) both have a partial floorpan on the chassis, and the interior has a separate floor section.  I have not built either kit, but it appears the front section of the interior floor is supposed to finish off the rest of the floor pan attached to the chassis.  If this is too confusing I will try to get pictures later for a better explanation.

The Revell '65 and '66 kits use the same chassis parts, so the parts breakdown will be identical.
