madhorseman Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 There still some SNAKE-FUing in progress with this one. Haven't decided on the grille, I have a 2 PH '67 Shelby grilles 1 with inboard driving lights and 1 outboard. Needs a new front bumper, and I havent decided about trim....blacked out or as is.
madhorseman Posted December 31, 2019 Author Posted December 31, 2019 BTW, this is how the finished kit is supposed to look
vamach1 Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Looks like t will be ready for the next years SEMA show. ?
Snake45 Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 (edited) Pretty cool! I'd paint the wheel spokes flat steel or matte black, otherwise, looking good! Drive on! ETA: I think I've seen these at Hobby Lobby. You're making me think about grabbing one next time I'm there. Edited January 1, 2020 by Snake45

Those wheels and tires are from the Revell 1969 Shelby Motor City Muscle kit. See what I mean about how the stance for this version works well? Oh BTW Snake I was not a fan of that 2 tone paint but, that black came off with no problem with the old acetone trick! Also had to lose all the aero pieces as well. Side vent windows had to go along with those head lights too.
randyc Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 I'm liking yours better than the Maisto version.

Your wheels look much better that what comes in the box. Paint the spokes and they'll look even better!

I have a post on here somewhere where I took a Jada 63 Caddy and replaced the entire chassis and interior with one from a Mint 59 Caddy so I could have a "normal" looking car. That must be a young people thing???

Those would be my priority. As for the front bumper, how about some 70.5 Camaro-esque bumperettes? And just add some mesh in the grills.

My wife asked me to buy her something called "cotton squares". Found then next to cotton balls and cotton swaps in Walgreens, so I'm sure CVS or Rite Aid would carry them also. Got pad good and wet, applied to body and wiped to loosen, then wiped off with a clean soft rag. Very easy
