Here we have Kurt's Monster Camaro, first completed for 2020, although I did start work on in 2019,  decals were provided to me by Mark at MPR decals, these are from his new printer, and wow, they are excellent decals to work with, much better than ALPS printed decals.

Some of the decals are not from his sheet.

Body is from Mike's Decals, and needed a lot of work , was in honesty disappointed with the quality of the body.

I am sort not happy with how it turned out,  I used the same method and products on this one like I have on all my previous Monster and matte/satin finished builds and it did not turn out the same.

Ok, you doth protest too much. Looks like you did an awesome job taming that body.  I can see no faults with the overall outcome of the build. in fact, it looks  fabulous to me.  Probably the best Camaro of this year, I've seen done. You're right, those decals look  awesome too. Is that just one layer?  If so, congrats to Mark. I'm not seeing any bleed through at all of the white decals on that black body.

That's a beauty!  I don't quite understand the reasoning behind the matte finish on the real car.

At the launch of it's new SF90 at Maranello on Friday, the Italian outfit revealed a new darker matte colour, having moved away from its traditional gloss finish.

But rather than this having been done to simply make the car look better, team principal Mattia Binotto says that the inspiration for the move was to help reduce the car weight – as the matte finish weighs less.

"The reason is not aesthetic, but exclusively technical," explained Binotto. "Eliminating the shiny element gives us a few hundred grammes, which may not sound like much, but when you push everything to the limit even this has an effect."

If you watched the Rolex 24 you saw that the Porsche GTLM cars were wrapped, not painted.   The vinyl wrap was damaged on the nose of the car #911.  Again this was said to be done as a weight savings over painting the cars.

I LOVE the matte finish on this car. Your model with the decals just convinced me to buy one and try to make mine look like yours and I don't even like NASCAR ! Excellent job

Great looking build!

I had no idea there was another printer on the market that could print white decals...any more info on that at all?
