I have no problem with printing out registration number plates / license plates for 1:24 scale model cars, but how do MCM members create / produce these plates for 1:43 scale model cars, please? Not sure if my printer can go that small.

I print 1/64th scale decals without problems.  As long as your printer's resolution (DPI, dots per inch) is fine enough they'll be readable.  I print 1/64th stuff at 300DPI and it's fine.

Waste a lot of decal paper tho.

I don't go a small, but I'll print just a top line of plates and trim the top of the paper after of the decal strip. Save and feed again witj other decals.

Thanks very much, Paul....... I shall give it a go then...... if you can print in 1:64 scale, it should be okay in 1:43 scale.

That is a good way to save decal paper, Mike......

Another suggestion is to print on regular paper until you get the size and resolution you want before printing on decal paper.  That being said I normally print my license plates on glossy picture paper, cut them out and glue them to the car.  I have heard of one who printed decals, then put them onto regular kitchen aluminum foil so he could add bends to them.

I've used soda cans cut out for thin, bent plates. This is a 1/24 plate  ... soda can and decal ... resin nuts

Mike-  With the US Forces Germany license plate, shouldn't the nationality oval be USA?  I know it was on our cars bearing similar plates when we were in Germany from 1969-72.

Having been there yourself figures you would have caught me in this. It did have USA ovals, but we put those on top of the D ovals it came with off the German economy.   :)  I just left it after realizing it. Lots of other things and I even have the true VW paint color. This is staying as is unless I build a better one.
