Lorne Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Hello, it's kinda cool to bring out some of the first builds that have been on the shelf for a long time. This 1965 Malibu was one the first I had completed when I finally got back to the hobby! Used Pro Stock kits for parts. Started to detail more once I found out about after market stuff!! I love any straight line drag or pro street!
Scott8950 Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 I just built one almost identical. The 67 pro street chassis is a perfect fit. Very nice build!!
Bills72sj Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Very nice build. I am curious as to the front fenders and grille not needing to be attached to the frame?
NYLIBUD Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Great looking build.Me too,I really like kits that are tubbed and slammed to the ground, such as yours. In fact that’s what I mainly build. How old is this build?
Lorne Posted February 27, 2020 Author Posted February 27, 2020 True enough on the front fenders and grille. Let's pretend its a fibreglass front end?? We build to create the illusion! Good catch!!! Also this build was done when Revell first issued the Malibu 396 car so,.... I think it was built in the mid to late 90's ?? As you can see from the dust HA! Thanks for the kind words
