Gramps46
For the last several months I have been interested in older pickup trucks and this one is one of my favorites and it just arrived. The pickups were made between 1937 and 1939 when Studebaker production was converted to the war effort. Labeled as a NAPA release but I believe made by Crown Premiums. The 1937 Studebaker is very well detailed with working doors, tailgate, hood, poseable steering and the tool box provides entry to the coin bank in the fuel tank below. The box claims it is a stock factory color though it seems a bit bright for the time.
cobraman
That's a pretty slick looking pick up.
randyc
Nice truck. Seems like many of the Studebaker truck models are painted a bright color.
THarrison351
I have a version of this in tan and black from Snap On. They're nice little trucks. I like your blue version better. Edited March 8, 2020 by THarrison351
Gramps46
Since my original post I have learned that the Studebaker Express Pickup was also released by Franklin Mint, Danbury Mint, Road Signatures and Unique Replicas and perhaps others in 1/24th scale. It was also released in the smaller scale diecasts.
