KBryan67
Hi guys Im thinking about using some material for carpet on my current project and was wondering what glue would work to adhere to material and plastic? I was browsing for an answer online but couldn't find a definite answer. Thanks in advance

peteski
Contact cement is an excellent choice. You can also smear some liquid cement over the plastic. That will soften the surface so you can then squish the fabric into it. When it hardens, the fabric will be physically embedded into the plastic. STYRENE-SURFER
Wouldn't Canopy glue or Aleene's Tacky adhesive be an alternative? Just a thought.
StevenGuthmiller
I've been using a lot of 2 part epoxy lately. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work in this circumstance. You can use embossing powder and Elmers glue to get a very convincing looking carpet. In most cases it will look better and more in scale than most materials.
