curt raitz Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Picked up the Tamiya Kawasaki Ninja ZR-RR motorbike at the NNL West in March, picked up a couple cans of the Tamiya Spray paint released for this kit. Had a couple of Tamiya Kawasaki Motorbikes needing a bright green bath as well...the KR500 G.P. Racer #14028 and KR1000F Endurance Racer #1412. I enjoy building Tamiya bike kits, probably the best engineered kits for the money. Enjoyed the experience not only with how the technology of racing bikes have evolved over time but also how Tamiya has progressed in developing these kits. All I can say is I'm glad Tamiya Spray Lacquers are really thin...cuz if you had to paint the Ninja ZR-RR with enamel paints - fittin' stuff together would be really tight! Here they are... 2007 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-RR 1980 Kawasaki KR500 G.P. Racer 1981 Kawasaki KR1000F Endurance Racer
ismaelg Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 I'm not into motorcycles and green is my least favorite color. But your builds are so clean and nice I have to comment They all look great and fast. What scale are those? Thanks,
george 53 Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Curt, with all the Tree Huggers (NOT Dave)around,I thought they were gonna be somethin like eco-freindly or somethin, But they're gas guzzlin fire breathin race bikes.YESSSS! I love the brutal speed these bike can attain, and the way the riders just whip em around the track! Great builds, they look like the real things.I likeses them!!!!

stevegt738 Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Those are some neat builds. I built both KRs when they were first released in the early `80s, but did not look as good as yours though. Well done.
RadRidesByDan Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 I tried t build 1 bike in my life and never managed to complete it and ended up as parts for a custom car project. Those 3 Bikes are fenominal, the paint on the 3 bikes looks flawless and the decal and detail work is excellent. Nice work.
HotRodaSaurus Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 Well I love bikes, mainly the older kind of what is commonly known as Brit Sh*t. I ride a BSA but if I had a modern sports bike it would be a Ninja. Kawasaki have always built killer bikes and I mean that almost literaly, My fave Japanese bike of all time is the KH500 from the late 60s, these are its hiers to it's throne. Great builds, I love em . Lets see more bikes. John
Raul_Perez Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Mean, green hotrod machines!! It looks like you'll have a lot of new stuff to display at the next NNL West!! When is Mrs. Raitz gonna let you get a 1:1 scooter so we can all go riding together? Later,

Later, Actually she does not have an issue with gettin' a bike...but with two kidz in private school and one of'em headin' off to college next year - the motorcycle will have to wait Can only afford to build little motorcycles, and they ain't cheap either I've just finished some "katz", a Jaguar XK120, Sunbeam Tiger, Cougar Funnycar and Cougar Eliminator and a couple of "ratz" in progress for the NNL West How 'bout meeting for lunch next Thursday? c'ya my good friend...
