junkyardjeff Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 Picked up a 64 Thunderbolt rebuilder and would like a stock hood and was wondering if one was made or time to remove the tear drop scoop.
alan barton Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 Jeff, the most recent reissue had a stock hood. Cheers Alan
MeatMan Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 (edited) Southern Motorsports Hobbies has one. I just bought it last week and its a pretty good piece. Its flat with no irregularities but needs trimming along the back. http://stores.smhracing.com/64-fairlane-hood/ Edited April 18, 2020 by MeatMan
junkyardjeff Posted April 18, 2020 Author Posted April 18, 2020 I think I am going to get that latest kit and just keep the rebuilder the way it is,I was wanting to find a 289 to drop in it but have not found one yet.
Force Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 Ford 260-289-302 small block engines is not that hard to find, the AMT 67 Mustang has a nice one that will work and there are more.

After this virus BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH cools down I will go looking for a kit to get a 289.
