This is kind of geared towards rig builders, but could come in handy for cars as well.

I build a lot of rigs, and for those that build them, you know that you get to a point where turning them around on the bench to work on one side or the other can get tricky. As I was working on my freight liner the other day I thought , boy, a lazy Susan would be nice right about now . Fast forward a few days, my wife had to go to Walmart for groceries and asked if I needed anything, so I put in a request to have her look for a cheap lazy Susan. What she found was a turntable for cake decorating. It has adjustable height, the legs fold inward to create a lower stance and a locking mechanism for the table so it can spin or not spin. Also has non slip pads on the legs. I think it’s going to come in handy, and for $20, I thought it was cheap enough. Just thought I’d pass along the idea if it hadn’t been mentioned before.

Very good idea, I think I will have to pick one of those up, I have several trucks and 1/16th cars waiting for me and that would be handy on them...

The Lazy Susan cake decorating turntable has been around for years and as Tom has found it is a brilliant piece of domestic hardware that can be used for our type of work, and relatively inexpensive too.
