I built this model when I was very young.  I had to try and build it again.  Someone had it for sale on ebay, so - worth the money!  I didn't realize how fragile and challenging it would be.  I sure am proud of it though.  The fit was iffy, at best, but still, it was just satisfying.  I had to fabricate the horn on the front end (it was missing) and the steel rods for the axles were also missing.  Anyway, I glued all the wheels to a base, so no under carriage photos.  I further glued all the doors and hood panels into position.  But it is safer for handling that way.  I really enjoyed making this, but man, it was really delicate.

Hope you like it.

Beautiful job! I started this one myself several years ago, and it sits incomplete. So true, it is very delicate, and intimidating. Maybe someday I'll build up the courage and complete it! Yours is fantastic!????

Thanks everyone!  Yes, Craig - it took me forever to complete it (1 and 1/2 months plus or minus)!  I don't know what level they would put it at, but it would be up there.

Beautiful Work!

I've done a few "Nostalgia Builds" myself. It sure is a great feeling to go back and complete and/or conquer those fondly remembered kits of our younger days, isn't it?

Yes, it really was satisfying and fun.  It also sort of made me realize how old I am!  Worth every moment, though.

I too built this one as a kid and discovered the hard way it's not for beginners.  Your have certainly done a fine job it.

Thanks Eric.  The photos picked up errors and slips that my old eyes couldn't.
