Jim B Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 So, it might not be pretty, but it's done. And it looks like a Thunderbolt. The fit was pretty bad, and the decals gave me a lot of trouble, but the kit is from 1997 so what can you really expect. I'm happy with the results, and I think it'll look ok on the shelf. Jim
bamadon Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 That must be tiny, about 3 1/2 " wing span? Looks GOOD but I would go blind trying to build is.
Jim B Posted June 23, 2020 Author Posted June 23, 2020 Thanks, Don. Yes, the wingspan is about 3-1/2" (88.9mm), and the fuselage is about 3" (76.2mm).
Jim B Posted July 25, 2020 Author Posted July 25, 2020 Thanks, Carl. I think I need to find better decals for it, though.
mustang1989 Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 1/144 is about as small as it gets before you start getting into 1/350 aircraft on ship models. These tiny kits are tough.....really tough and I've gotta give you kudos for finishing this one off. Good work James.
Jim B Posted July 26, 2020 Author Posted July 26, 2020 Thanks, Joe. Done a couple of 1/144 scale fighters, and yes, they are small. But the plus side of that is they don't that up all that much shelf space.
