About a month ago . ipulled out one of the old AMT lowboy kits. The box actually had two kits in it . So wanting to do something a bit different. I decided to

modify this one a bit.

I stretched the goose neck about  a half inch . Then cut the rear of the load deck off at the angle . And then added about 3/1/2 inches . The rear was built per kit instructions.

Some photos of the beginning of the build

Thanks guys for your comments . Things have slowed on this project. trying to get enough tires the same size .

I still need to make tie down loops . I have painted the plastic wood grained decking. But I may go with real wood ???

Not really trying to do anything spectacular. Just to build a decent looking trailer for some heavy iron.

Also have many other trailer projects in progress . Just rehabbed an ERTL GD extendable trailer . Just need a couple of bits to call it done .

Also have a stretched gravel trailer in the paint shop .

WIll be taking some photos when I get some of these projects finished .

Got some more work done on this project. Went with a real wood load deck , and a diamond plate goose neck deck .

Still need things like tie down loops and marker lights and some weathering .

I am so glad you did! It looks great!

Thank you ! It didn't take much to convince me to go with the real wood !
