Straightliner59 Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 If you've used them, how well do they work, and is there a particular sheet that works best to match the rivets on AMT's Pete 352? I am going to have a ton to replace, especially since the grille area needs to be reworked. I'm not sure I want to make all of them, by hand! Thanks!
RSchnell Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 I've used the ones made & sold by Micro-Mark and had pretty good luck with them. I suspect the Archer ones are similar. They went on just like any other decal, let them set and hit them with a bit of Micro Set. I can't answer your question as to size, but the ones I used were for HO scale and I used them on an off topic rocket kit. I think G scale model railroad equates to roughly 1/25. That may be a good starting point. I know these decal rivets are big with the railroad guys.
Straightliner59 Posted July 15, 2020 Author Posted July 15, 2020 Thank you, sir. After doing the math, I think O-scale 7/8" rivets will come pretty close to what's already there.

Straightliner59 Posted July 15, 2020 Author Posted July 15, 2020 Thank you, Bill. I will check these out, tomorrow, when I am off work. It should be helpful. I am looking to replace the row of rivets, where I cut out the cab section.

I have a similar situation that needs rivets on a truck cab, and a D-type Jag that needs 'em too. Though I've bought several sets, I haven't had time to play with them yet.
