Plowboy
This is what the TS-21 looks like with three coats of TS-13. It has a pretty brassy look right out of the can. But, the clear tones it down and darkens it some.
Dave G.
Judging by Plowboys Chevy truck photo I'd say no it's not that close. Not honey enough but more champagne-ish gold. Zero Piants rendition is quite a ways from that Tamiya at any rate: Edited July 17, 2020 by Dave G.
Gramps46
I have a personal rule not to trust restored cars when it comes to colors. But then published photos can vary all over the place too so take your pick.
RichCostello
Try Krylon Rose Gold(big can or short cuts). It looks spot on to me.

Pete J.
Looks pretty close but the real deal doesn't look to be high gloss. A lot of the race cars of that era didn't have a clear coat on them. Less paint, less weight. Remember a gallon of paint weighs about 8 pounds. Had an interesting discussion with Lee Holman(Holman-Moody racing) several years ago. the florescent pink flashes were hardware store rattle cans, his dad sent him out to get just before the race, so there is no reference for the color. Dave G.
I'm sure it will look fine, between the variables on the real ones and if you do any weathering, then adding counter colors and markings, whose to know the difference really .
