Spex84 Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Love it! The raised shape in the tailgate is so 50s, and the curved tuck-n-roll inserts fit the period so well. That pearl is just right; I'm somewhat surprised that a modern color could actually work for a late 50s show truck. I've often looked at those mirrors and thought they'd make cool taillights so it's fun to see them employed as such on this truck. I have my own 50s '34 build that desperately needs finishing. Maybe this week I can wrap it up.
mr moto Posted September 2, 2020 Author Posted September 2, 2020 Thanks, Spex! I'm glad you're enjoying it and I'll look forward to seeing your finished truck.
Dave Darby Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Manuel, I don't know how I missed this post, but what a beautiful piece of craftsmanship! I took the liberty of sharing the link to it for Faux-vivor Friday on the Scale Survivors Group. The more I look at it, the more eye candy I see. Great eye for detail. Beautiful!
Elmer Fudd Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 The headlight treatment is reminiscent of the 1954 Buick Wildcat II. Very Cool!
