James2 Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I find it interesting that so many people have so many opinions about something that really does not effect them, except for a small portion of their hobby life. Considering the reasons given for the retirement of the business owners made at the announcement of said retirement, I wish them nothing but the best. And whether someone buys the business or not thank you to them and for their contribution to this crazy hobby we sometimes enjoy....

To me they are quite reasonably priced. If any casters out there are interested In purchasing a single Modelhaus kit to reproduce, contact Don. I lost his contact info , is that something you can pass on to me ? There’s a few we were discussing a while back I was interested in .

There are a good number of decent and appreciative people in this hobby who understand this. Then we have the lumbering herd who see nothing but their own self interest and treat every entity in this hobby as if it’s Walmart there to serve them. When Don decided to retire, he had the absolute class to announce it ahead of time and offer a “last call”. As a result there were opportunists who placed large orders for the sole purpose of reselling at a profit. Not a thought to the human side of a man wishing to retire, only how they could profit from the situation.
Paul Payne Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 I seem to recall Don had a body for the Phantom Corsair, also a Duesenberg boattail speedster. I don't know if he produced any similar bodies. Can anyone supply info about these, maybe even a copy of his product list? This would at least be a cool piece of memorabilia. Thanks to any and all......
