Vilperi Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Started with a resin kit wich is based on a Volvo 544 cut in half. Backdated it with a split windscreen and built a ribbed grille. in the 50´s Volvo offered a complete chassi with front fenders and cowl. There was both pick up´s and stationwagons and even a few convertibles built on those chassis.
GeeBee Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Very unusual subject, look forward to seeing this one progress.
espo Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 I like your engineering on the rear suspension.. I remember seeing a couple of the wagons here in the US that may have been based on this design.
Mattilacken Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Cool project! Nice to se one from Hemlandet some times ?

Brizio Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Cool project! I remember seen one made into a tow truck.
BIGTRUCK Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 That’s a nice looking project, who does the cast on this Volvo.

It´s cast in Sweden by Kent Gustavsson. Don´t know how active he is right now. He casted this pickup the 544 and 210. Very complete kits, even a separate fanbelt was included.
Vilperi Posted November 19, 2020 Author Posted November 19, 2020 Started to paint some parts for keeping motivation for the interior work were my builds usually got stalled.
joernbs Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Very good so far. Good to see models from our part of the world.
