Hi, I am trying valiantly to get hold of a model - either kit or diecast - of the Standard 10 saloon made by the Standard Motor Company from 1954 to 1960. I found ONE, but it was way over-priced. Any scale would do - except 1-1. Suggestions welcomed

Is that some sort of oil catch tray on the ground under the front of the car in the picture ??

You do understand that this is a British car, right? ?

I have several of those "World's Worst Cars" books.  One had this line that cracked me up:  "Triumph Stag owners stood by their cars. Usually because they couldn't get the doors open."

The only time a British car didn't leak oil was when the oil had either escaped or burnt off.....

We BMW drivers used to hate used to hate it when the Jaguars were sharing the bill on race weekend. They always left a sheen of oil on the track...

I knew that, but I just couldn't resist.
