Nicely done group!

Thanks guys - New Years Day I started collecting what I need for my first project of 2021 and I am hoping I can keep to a plan that will take well into the year ahead.

Great builds Phil!
Another aspect of Phil’s work that many may be unaware of is guiding our local club, Scale Plastic Automotive Modellers, SPAM in the Victoria BC area. Our club is a very loose organization with no executive, dues, or business meetings. Rather we gather at various members’ homes for a monthly meeting (now through Zoom). Phil prepares a regular monthly newsletter, photographs members’ builds, submits articles on our activities, and generally corrals this bunch of gearheads. In addition our club has helped organize a major show with the IPMS group and sponsors a major display for the Pacific Nor’West Deuce Days every three years in the city, largest gathering of 32s and rods. On behalf of our club, I wish to thank and congratulate Phil for his dedication and skills in developing our hobby.

Cheers Misha

Thank you Misha for your kind words. Not only do I get a lot pleasure building model cars and writing about them but I really enjoy and appreciate the friends I have made as a result of this hobby - locally, at model shows far and wide and on this forum.

Very well said Misha. Phil is also one of main reasons I returned to the hobby with as much enthusiasm as I did. I had been dabbling a bit, but after attending one of our local clubs shows and meeting the guys, I had a fairly lengthy chat with Phil, then started receiving his brilliant monthly newsletter , bam, I was hooked. Phil is not only a very talented model builder, and all round nice guy, but he is a wonderful “spokesperson for our hobby. Thanks for all you do Phil, it is much appreciated.

Cheers, Steve
