AMT Chev C1500

Knocked out a quick one. 

Just a rebuild of a damaged AMT promo kit. 

Colours are Tamiya Gloss Aluminum and Duplicolour GM Slate Grey Metallic.

Interior is a few shades Of Tamiya TS colours. 

Added some flocking, made some gauges.

Nice job Dan!  It's always a nice gesture to save an old promo kit.  Nice touch on the gauges by the way, printed on an inkjet printer I guess? ?

Looks good. The silver/grey two-tone wasn't seen much, but it looks nice.

Yup, inkjet printing. But I ran out of glossy photo paper, so had to make do with the matte finish photo paper. 

I know these technically are not GMT400 gauges, but they look good, so I used them.

Yeah, kind of a different colour scheme. I was inspired by a truck at this year's Barrett Jackson.

Promo upgrades are a great way to get a whole lot in much less effort, compared to a full kit. Perfect for when we need the satisfaction of completing something, but in a shorter amount of time. This is a great example. A really nice looking model.

Great resto! A buddy of mine had one in the same colors as your model but his was a GMC. it was also a lot less shiny and a lot more rough, lol!
