Thanks! I don't like the chrome that comes with the kits - too shiny and toy-like. I remove it with oven degreaser.

The area was covered with Bare Metal and then painted green.

Then I sanded the letters veeeery lightly until the Bare Metal showed up.

I used a local brand of paint: Dryco Colors. The chrome has to be applied over 2k gloss Black.

That is what I thought. I have used that technique on occasion.
