HomerS Posted January 23, 2021 Posted January 23, 2021 Back when players could hit a home run and not do the bat flip, stand their pompously watch it or taunt the other team around the bases....... RIP Hammerin' Hank
1930fordpickup Posted January 23, 2021 Posted January 23, 2021 He was a great man. He may have had way more home runs had they not pitched around him like they did often.
Phirewriter Posted January 24, 2021 Posted January 24, 2021 Although I'm not a sportsball guy, most of my family is. Saw his last game with my uncle and cousins at Milwaukee County Stadium in '76. My uncle had connections due to his job and we were all gifted with autographed cards after the game. One of the only non automotive sports memorabilia I own and is very cherished. My dad and I generally spent baseball season at car shows and racing events and football/basketball season in the garage working on cars for the following spring and summer. He was a Milwaukee legend and a big loss. Godspeed Hammerin' Hank...
