The last three love bugs I've had were / are microchipped via the local, county-run-and-funded shelter. 1
Joe Handley Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 My friend lost his boy Linus yesterday morning, not sure what exactly happened, he just started going down hill about a week ago. He took Linus in from a feral colony that was by a dive of an apartment building he was in at the time and had given him a home with himself and his 2 girls. Linus would eat nearly anything in front of him and was fond of Little Cesar's Pizza and bread sticks, which he was trying to get in this pic. 1 2

They will sit in the door or window and watch the world go by but as soon as you open the door they run. 1
1972coronet Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 RE: Microchipping : One of the other big reasons for microchipping felines (any companion animal, really) comes down to locale -- I live in earthquake country, and when a big one comes along, my bratty Tao may escape or hide or both should the apartment come apart (think : Northridge 1994 ).

1972coronet Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 I just adopted 'Emily' this evening at 1830. Drove 40 miles to get her ; daughter of a feral mum (a virtual "mini me"). That's her in the background, left-of-centre ; mum's in the foreground. 3
1972coronet Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 Emily's mum and dad . Unusual to see sire and queen chillaxin' together . 3
1972coronet Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Here's Emily and yours truly (disregard the ulcerised cancer spot on me crust) . She's quick ! Took a few times to capture a decent photo of her ( I still have to hold her in Tao's presence, as he's still trying to figure out this tiny love bug into the home ! Haha). 3

TNT Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 Way too many pics to comment on. A bunch of cute critters. How many have that place that critters visit and some stay? Before we built our house we lived in a trailer. It had 4 windows in a corner one morning getting ready for work i could see through the blinds a black n white animal. Usually we had 6 or 7 dogs from neighbors, we had one dog. I walk out the door and there was that black n white critter. One of the neighbors calfs had joined the rest of the dogs. They were just hanging out. We have critters that just come out of the woods, some stick around others are just passing through. We have had squirrels, deer, rabbits, skunks, dogs, and cats. We already have 12 or so cats. The wife comes in one night with this beast. His head was as big as a grapefruit and his nards also. I was like BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH why another. She CLAIMS he ran up to her at work and got in her car. Told her he has not been fixed and is full of testosterone. Well we spent the money to get him fixed. The vets where afraid of him and asked me to get him out of the cage n into the carrier. Told i was afraid of him too. He wasn't really mean but he would bite n scratch. Except the wife. This is cynthia. Oyr neighbors had a female that went feral. she had 3 litters in our garage. They are all black n white. Wife comes in holding a towel close to her. I was like aw BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH now what? Well it was cynthia with her birth sack still attached. Wife said she was in a box by herself. Not sure where she came from. This was shortly after our son passed from cancer so we figured he placed her their. We cut her sack off put betadine on it and bottle fed her. This is boss baby and socks from 2 of the litters from the neighbors cat. When we brought boss in with the others she just walked around like she owned the place. Not afraid of the dogs at all. When she walks you can hear her feet hit the floor. Boss name was zip her litter mates where flip, tip, pip, and nip. When they were in the box in the garage all would run to a corner, not flip she would roll over on her back wanting belly rubs. My daughter has her now and when i go in her house she runs to me and rolls over. Daughter says i am the only one she does that to. No corn muffin is safe around here. This is boss turd, thinking she is helping. Here is bourbon. She was my sons cat. When he first got her she was a bit mean. I was staying with him while he was sick. One night she crawled under the covers and slept with me. The wife calls her and a couple of the others my girls. This is alien. He was sleeping. Think he is from the last batch from neighbors cat. I think 3 of them suffered from a lack of oxygen or something, they are just not right. This poor guy was afraid of his own shadow. If anything gets moved he just freaked out. Sadly the wife found him in the garage dead. Figured he had a heart attack or something. Another of alien. Strangest cat ever. But he was a good cat. I forget which batch this was. Maybe the 1st. Just sleeping in my house shoes. I have plenty more but thats enough for now. The wife has about 12 or 13. Well i will post one more for now. This is bella. A lady my daughter used to work with and ended up with cancer. My daughter took her cat for awhile. But bella could not get along with the others. So we took bella in temporarily. But not she is a permanent fixture. 1 1

The worst is cynthia it does not matter if i am trying to work on a build or reading when she wants to lay down she will climb on whatever i am doing to lay down. Cats are funny. 2

bobss396 Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 This is Ivan at 8 weeks, just after he had his shots, etc. The vet said he was in great health considering he was born in a feral community. 2
