carl63_99 Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 Finished! First one this year, but I have been busy with other things. First thing I note is the Alclad holomatic spectral chrome is touchy stuff. You cannot polish it, clearcoat over it, or even handle it too much. It was much more dramatic before I put the clearcoat on, but still, it's okay. I also see the spray pattern across the nose section. It MUST be a very even coat to come out good. Probably next job I do will be much better. As for the kit, went together pretty good, sad to know the electric motors and the engine are buried deep inside all the rest of the work. they would have been nice to see. Enjoy!
Dann Tier Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 Now that is some crazy kolor!....Outstanding job on this Beast!!!
espo Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Unusual looking paint finish. Looks as if it has different colors in it depending on the light.

That's what it's supposed to look like. Think the cheap belts and handbags girls can get at the store. It will look different based on the base color. I used gloss black, but silver would give an interesting effect also.
Funkychiken Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 I'm betting this colour looks way better in real life than in photos, you can just about make out the colour changing in some of the pics. I've struggled with Alclad enamels, but their metal colours work perfectly. It's a beautiful build though!
