Wow! That Caddy glass is an awful fit! Is this a new kit, or a "used " purchase? I've never heard or read any complaints about glass fitment issues with the kit, and no one would overlook a fit that bad, I wouldn't think. Otherwise, your builds are looking really nice! Shades of green have been getting more love here lately it seems.

Very nice paint on your Caddie! ?

As far as the glass, from where I sit it seems like the windshield frame may be a bit warped and not fitting the contours of the glass the way it should. If you bought this used it's possible the glass was swapped from a Monogram '59 Chevy Convertible. Those aren't quite the same, but I'm leaning more towards your frame being slightly warped due to it being molded on a separate sprue and not part of the body.

One suggestion I have is to VERY CAREFULLY glue the frame to the body and let it fully set for a day or two. After it's fully dry and cemented to the body, try putting in the glass by sliding it in from the inside and then epoxying it in.

Other than that, I don't know what else can be done with it except to see if someone has the glass for the kit to see it that will fit.

Thank you Rusty and Bill. I did buy the kit used but the glass was sealed in a bag in the kit. The head lights and such that was also in the bag fit the caddy. I already gued it in figuring what else I could do. I was think of using the Dremel on it. And also thought that maybe it's like that to glue the vent windows in.

And yes Rusty. I like the light greens because you can't find them to often This was a special mix I ordered from O'Reilly's. It a 1966 GM green.

I don't have that kit any more but it seems to me that the bottom edge of the glass sat on top of the chrome, not under it.

It just slid in from behind so the bottom edge sits on the chrome cowl area and the top of the glass is under the top of the frame.

I have it glued now Steve. I'm just going to attach the vent widows to it and hopefully it will look ok.

David, I had a 55 or 56 AMT Thunderbird that gave me fitting problems also so I understand. Great color choice on the Cadillac color.

Thanks carl. It will look good in any case right. My grandmother had an Oldsmobile that color and it was such a pretty car. Now days you never see too many green cars. Especially light green. ?

I'm currently building a 59 Sedan deVille 4 door flat top resin conversion. The glass does sits on top of the chrome as you say. Built the Eldo years ago and don't recall a fit issue so that's how it must fit.

It's above my abilities. I had already glued the windshield so there was no fixing that issue. I couldn't get the engine to fit into the chassis without altering the front of both exhaust manifolds. And if I put the AC lines in. The hood doesn't fit sit all the way down on the passenger side. I'll just do what I can.
