SteveG Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 .... I didn't pull any strings to get this today, just luck of the draw. I paid for it through Chrysler LLC marketing like everyone did else last August. I got a notice Weds that it was being shipped and it showed today. Check out the "Caution Label" on the box. It looks like a pretty nice promo to me. I think it should make a great curbside kit. Hopefully we'll be seeing those soon too. -Steve
crispy Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 That looks pretty good! I like the individual numbering on the chassis. I look forward to the other colors as well. So, gonna take it apart and re-work it??? LOL
Rob Hall Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Looks good..I noticed the charge on my CC on Tues then got the email Weds...haven't received mine yet, though.
SteveG Posted December 6, 2008 Author Posted December 6, 2008 What's the price tag on these little gems? Are they making them only in orange? Man, it is SO good to see that AMT logo on a box with some new tooling inside! It listed for $24.99 plus shipping and sales tax. They are going for double that on that "auction place" right now. They are all the same as far as I know but I expect there will be other releases. -Steve
george 53 Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 (edited) Whaaaa? where'd ya get em? Are they gonna come out with a full plastic kit of that rascal? Your right tho, it is nice ta see the old AMT logo on a BRAND NEW promo! Hopefully a bright glimmer of hope for things to come! GO AMT!!! YES!!! Oh, can ya still get them? if so, how? Zoom Zoom Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Looks decent, I'll wait for the curbside R/T kit. For anyone asking about full-detail, Revell's kit will be full-detail. Wheels look small, tire sidewalls too tall. Visually they look like they're 18's and not 20's.

I preordered from Dodge's website back in August. AMT has announced kit versions for '09--an R/T and an SRT8 like the promo. I assume we will see other colors of the promo in time.

I got mine online from Chrysler LLC Promotional Merchadise, I ordered it back in August. As far as I know it sold out. There will be two curbide kits from AMT coming next year. The photo below is from the I-hobby Expo show. Revell has promised us a full detail kit as well, I haven't heard any news about it lately or seen a test shot yet. Hopefully more news soon. -Steve
modeler Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 got the link on the site where i can get one

Haven't looked closely at that aspect of my promo, but I would assume it has metal axles.. Edited December 20, 2008 by Rob Hall

Haven't looked closely at that aspect of my promo, but I would assume it has metal axles.. I think that is just some excess vinyl sprue coming off the tires. I also noticed all the small parts are still on the trees and nothing is plated yet. I guessing it's just a test shot. I also noted that the price for the promo version is already dropping on evilbay, it looks like it pays to wait. -Steve
James Flowers Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Does anyone know if you can get these at a Chrysler dealer ?
Rob Hall Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 anyone notice that the box art says limited edition only 7000 made, but the chassis shows # ? of 6794? what happened to the other 200 or so? it does look like a very nicely done promo though, thank you for posting the pics! Dave Maybe Chrysler is giving them away to press, etc at auto shows or other events.
