Tom Kren Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 next shot Hey Rick I see ya got it Nice trike!
GTmike400 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Thanks a lot...now another project to consider. I'm never going to finish anything.
Dag Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Got my tank pretty well fitted on my Torch bike. I nestled the tank down over the top tube far enough to make it appear as though it has a curved one, I didn't want to get into modifying the frame too much. I do plan on raking the head tube back a fair amount to stretch it out a bit. I hope to finish all 3 of mine in the next few weeks
monkeyclaw Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Hey Gregg; you know me; always up for a challenge....It's just a shame you couldn't pick something a little bigger! LOL.........but I will be doing one of these up....just for you! matt
Ron Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Here's one I did around Halloween time..... Ron
Matt T. Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Here's my entry for the build-off. If you'd like to see more of it, it's also in the 'Under Glass' forum.
Steve H. Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I guess I should post mine here, as well as the "Under Glass" forum, also...
Mr. Metallic Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Just a quick rifling thru the box produced these impressions. 1) Most of the parts are a mix and match of other parts offered in the previous 4 kits 2) Unique parts include sweet wheels, seat, flame motif primary cover and air cleaner. 3) Real Fire decals look great, hope they apply just as good as they look. That's all for now. I love these kits. I also saw the Gambler, #6 of 6 of the Revell Choppers, but didn't have enough cash to pick it up. Great kits, if you haven't gotten yourself one yet... WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?!?!
ismaelg Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 OK, so I've joined the club. I hope to have it finished by the Feb. deadline. My idea is to keep the frame, wheels and engine, everything else is a toss up. I'm a total motorcycle ignorant, so I have no idea what the heck I'm doing I hold Jairus responsible for this. This is totally his fault. Thanks,
a2race Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 well this seems to be the hot builds as of late....esp. for me.....i really like these kits.....i have 5 of them in various states....2 of them are done.....ill post pics of the ones that are in progress right now and 1 of the finished....adam
Rick Forrester Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Papafo here. Some cool bikes. I too love these kits. May never build cars anymore. Did I say that. Must have been a brain fart. Rick 8)
Ajay Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Couldn't decide on what direction to go with my 2nd chopper (based on the Torch kit) - I recently completed an orange Nissan S15 Silvia with a c/f hood & liked the colour combination so I thought why not build a "tuner" chopper. The mudguards & tank have been cf'd using Scale Motorsport 1/12th carbon fibre twill weave (bit of a nightmare) & the frame is VW Brilliant Orange. Sorry the pics aren't the best quality. Thanks for looking Andy
Ajay Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Just a quick update - I've decided to have a go at detailing this one with plug/brake/fuel/oil lines etc. I've cleared the cf decal & added it to the chain cover, oil tank & handlebar grips. (CF sends my camera loopy !). The seat has been covered with self adhesive leather from Model Factory Hiro - shouldn't be too long before it's finished. Thanks for looking Andy
FuelishSpectator Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Here is my Crusader Chopper I also have it listed Under Glass Category http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2903 Thanks for looking Fuelish
Jairus Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 With soooo many cool builds... and I mean FREAKING COOL BUILDS, I might just have to sit this one out! Sheesh.... :?
miatamadman Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Here is a list of mods to the "Crusader" kit: Frame backbone replaced Front of frame angled forward Front fork raked Gas tank stretched and sunk down over frame Scratchbuilt seat and oil tank blended into tank Fenders reshaped Headlight lowered Scratchbuilt handle bars and mirrors Color Black Gold Planet Green Metalic/Tamiya gloss block
monkeyclaw Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Hey Guys; Here's the very 1st piece I have done for MY chopper....weber side draft carb....now if I can just get the rest of it done (LOL).......matt
monkeyclaw Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Andy...SAWEET! I like the carbon fiber. I am finally getting a bit done on my first one....going for that "skirt dragger" look...just basic shape for the fenders; still lots to do.......matt
monsterman Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 What are you guys using for the wheel axles? I'm still learning :?
