Madd Trucker Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 I am building a Galaxy trailer and want5 to do the marker lights and us the motlow as the back ground chrome or would I be better off useing silver paint
Bainford Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 BMF would be your best bet. I never tried painting over Molotow. Not sure how stable the surface is, but I would give it lots of time to cure (a few days), then try a clear red or clear orange over it without working it too much. Definitely try it on scrap parts first.
Mark Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Molotow is ink, not paint, I wouldn't hang my hat on it having the capability to be painted over without testing first.
GLMFAA1 Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 It doesn't like Tamiya clear red over it in taillights. It just turns silver and losses the chrome greg
Madd Trucker Posted June 17, 2021 Author Posted June 17, 2021 thank for the help I will go with the BMF
espo Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 I would also go with the BMF. Another advantage would be if somehow the "light" didn't turnout to your liking, just peal the BMF out and retry again.
