I am   building a Galaxy  trailer and  want5 to  do  the  marker  lights  and us  the  motlow  as  the  back  ground  chrome  or would  I  be  better off   useing silver  paint

BMF would be your best bet.

I never tried painting over Molotow. Not sure how stable the surface is, but I would give it lots of time to cure (a few days), then try a clear red or clear orange over it without working it too much. Definitely try it on scrap parts first.

Molotow is ink, not paint, I wouldn't hang my hat on it having the capability to be painted over without testing first.

I would also go with the BMF. Another advantage would be if somehow the "light" didn't turnout to your liking, just peal the BMF out and retry again.

It doesn't like Tamiya clear red over it in taillights. It just turns silver and losses the chrome

I've had no issues doing this. The trick is to sort of blob the tamiya paint on and not brush it around.
