The late-great Gas Rhonda was a regular winner at Calif.'s Fremont Drag Strip in the early '60s. We'd help him prep to run early Sunday mornings, he was quite the showman. He would drive his '61 Ford Starliner 2 dr. hardtop in, towing a near identical '61 Starliner, 390 w/4-spd., 410 H.P. 3 years later, he'd drive in trailering a 427 T-Bolt. Gas was a showman. And a champion!
