Statue for our American friends

This statue or memorial can be found 8 km from my house, on the road from Oudenaarde to Brakel.
It is dedicated to the American crew who was shot by the return of a mission above Germany.
I post it because of the model plane. Unfortunately, this is not the first one ; a few models have already been stolen from the memorial.

That is quite nice !  A fitting tribute for certain . 

This I must inquire : I recognise that the text is in the English language -- is that same accompanying text also scribed in other languages ?

Indeed John, only in English ! Though we speak Dutch over here, or French in the south of Belgium.
Fortunately, a majority of Belgians have no problems with English.

Do you have any connection with it ? You seem to be interested in other languages ; something that I, with all respect, did not expect from a US-citizen.
You are Californian, I guess ? Or do you have Belgian ancestors ?
