Anyone watching this fairly new show on Discovery ?  It’s like guys running their own cars on a course with chase cars after them . It’s like PAC Man with cars .

Is it any good?

IMHO, it's like that dodgeball show they had last year--it's interesting ONCE. After that, it's pretty much just more of the same.

I can't believe that people are willing to risk the complete destruction of their cars for a top prize of $7,000, and most of them don't win anything close to that.

I like it. Some guy messed up a 90,000 dollar Tesla on the one i watched last night.   More money than sense ?

That was last week's show. The other guy also messed up a drag-raced '66 Impala wagon that was said to be in his family for decades and valued at $65,000. And then he whined about destroying his car for nothing! About the only entertaining thing about this show is to see arrogant, tough-talking know-it-alls (in the beginning) get totally humbled and pwned. It's kinda like watching Doc on Street Outlaws brag about how much money he has in his car, and how powerful it is, and how it's so much faster than the guy he's about to race, and then go out there and blow the engine up or drive over the curb and tear the whole car up.  And then blame everything on someone else, or bad luck, or a voodoo curse, or everyone hates him and conspires against him, or something.

Ya that's the one !  What a cry baby he was. What did he think would happen ? I record the show and watch it when my wife goes to bed and I can't find anything better.

He’s rebuilding that car now, I’ve yet to see the show but it sounded like he got hit for what little he had mentioned so far prior to the show hitting the air.

He was pretty angry about what happened,  though I Think if I were to do a show like that and had time to prep the car, it would probably look like a cheater demo derby car that looked presentable enough to not draw unwanted attention.

Yea I think I caught the first episode.I’ve got mixed feelings about the show. It’s kind of cool.I like the chase cars better than the getaway cars.It sort of reminds me of a real life video game.Just not really sure why someone would wreck their rides like they do.Idk I saw the episode with the convertible Vette drift car..But I’m pretty sure the network pays the contestants to have their cars fixed after there wrecked.?‍♂️Who knows.

Nope, they're on their own for that, the kid with the Tesla said that they had been asked to sign a waiver not to hold then show responsible for damage and things like that weren't going to happen anyway.  He does have that Tesla driveable again and it may be in the process of fixing the structural damage at this point, since it hasn't popped on his YT channel since it was brought back to running condition and showing what used parts he was able to get for repairing it, which even matched the car's original white paint under that wrap.  IIRC that was mostly cosmetic and mechanical on the front, but the IIRC rear is going to need that entire corner of the body (inner and outer quarters, door, bumper, lights, ect) replaced, so needless to say, that will probably require a real body shop to take care of.

Yeah, as he was describing that in the video he showed the damaged car back at his shop, all I could think was how bad of an idea signing that was, I kinda thought he was smarter than that too, but guess I was wrong.
