Bullybeef Posted November 15, 2021 Author Posted November 15, 2021 Decided to buckle down and try to get some more work done on the cabriolet. I’ll be using all the stock suspension components from any of the revell 32 series kits. I’ll also use the Chrysler 392 hemi with some nice add ones from R&M of Maryland to spruce up the bare bones engine. Front wheels are from the 37 Ford pickup and the rears are from the monogram Lincoln. I’ll find some dress up caps in the wheel bin and spruce up the wheels later. Mr. Zappa decided to try out the cockpit.
Bullybeef Posted November 15, 2021 Author Posted November 15, 2021 A little detail work on the cabriolet.
Bullybeef Posted November 30, 2021 Author Posted November 30, 2021 Back from the depths of page 5. one in paint one ready for primer. work continues.
Bullybeef Posted December 4, 2021 Author Posted December 4, 2021 Houston we have… Colour!! The finish line is coming, just trying to decide on a colour for the roadster pickup and finish the bodywork on the delivery van. The station wagon will be a surprise at the finish line. Please keep in mind the paint is raw and no finish work has been done yet.

I have a plethora of rebuilder bodies to practice on. This is an in progress attempt.
Painted Black Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Not bad, that is a good foundation , just keep going. You really can not mess up when doing patina. 1

Paul Payne Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 That chopped 5 window is wickedly kool. Ask your wife for old makeup- useful for weathering.

Thank you Paul, but alas no wife, i'm a happy bachelor. The five window is slated for its time on the bench using the 29 roadster kit.

I was just about to edit. I looked at the "new kits" thread. I knew about that and ....well....senior moment. Thanks Bil. The windshield is a big plus. I'm thinking "early lakes highboy" survivor with a smattering of rust and a flattie with two 97s on top. Oh no, I've said too much.....the excitement builds ? 1
Bullybeef Posted October 26, 2022 Author Posted October 26, 2022 Well well well, where did we leave off, oh yeah three left. Got a nice chop done on the station wagon. Now time to clean up cuts and then get some paint down. Finally using my Latham blown Ardun flathead. Feels like forever and a day ago that I built it. 1
