I broke the suspension trying to remove the wheels. I gave it the entire undercarriage of the GMC big game country truck. And gave it a new lease on life. 20211111_191056.thumb.jpg.478a454865135175af1660ee18c2a1b6.jpg

I thought about repainting it hugger orange but it seemed like a lot of work. And I already painted the Boondocker Blazer in hugger orange. Had to change the top to Flat black. It just looks better.

i also stole the steering wheel and gauge decals from the GMC. A little paint detail in the interior. I can't take any credit for the body paint. Mine usually don't turn out that nice.

Great looking Blazer. I like how you combined thew Die Cast Body with all the other plastic kit parts. Looks cool with the top on and the Big Wheels and Tires.

I'm usually doing 1/18 diecasts but they didn't seem to make that many a few years back. The original front suspention had steering but it was very delicate and I broke it trying to remove the wheels. It sat apart for a long time and when the GMC went on sale I got one for a lot of parts. I saw on ebay how even the old snap kits were going for crazy money so I felt like I had to save this one.
