TonyK Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 I have read many comments about the extra parts in the Mooneyes dragster kit and the possibility of building a roadster? I don't know enough to piece together something with these parts and wondered where I might find an instruction sheet that might have a guide to this. Also, I have chassis pieces in my parts stash molded in yellow that are the same parts in the Mooneyes dragster kit. I'd like to throw this together for a same era dragster but wanted to know what engines would be appropriate for this. Thanks for the help.
Snake45 Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 The instructions for the roadster frame are here: https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/revell-instructions/straightline-competition/revell-sanitary-t-b/ 1
Casey Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 I don't recall reading in the Mooneyes review topic here...: ...that enough extra parts are included (IIRC, only one part was needed from one group of included parts), but here are the instructions for the original double kit: https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/544/revell-mooneyes-dragster-sanitary-bucket

Mark Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 Only one part is used from that roadster chassis (originally a push bar, used as a radius rod in the dragster). That leaves the entire roadster frame. The chassis accessories pack has more than enough leftover parts to finish it off. 1
TonyK Posted November 20, 2021 Author Posted November 20, 2021 Thanks for the instructions. That shows everything clearly. I've got plenty of wheels and tires so looks I just need a body and engine to create another model.
