I built one of these  several years ago and later tried to separate the body from the chassis. No go on that. Like the saying about the family that prays together- it stays together.

Lol I tried a test fitting before any paint work was done, and it took forever to separate them, that’s when I knew that the final assembly would truly be the final assembly ??

I've built this, and can attest to the lousy fit of the body on chassis, and no clearance for the accessory pulleys.  Too bad Tamiya didn't include the intercoolers and complete plumbing.  Great job on the silver paint.  I could nit-pick one detail, but if it's to be considered 100% Box Stock, no worries.

What a beauty!  The Tamiya silver leaf looks superb. The metallic flake appears to be perfectly to scale. Looks fantastic. Did you have to clear coat over it, or is that how glossy it comes out?

Thanks guys! Beers..yes I cleared over the silver leaf. I used TS-13 Tamiya clear, one of my favorites, and then a light polish with Tamiya polishing compound and a coat of Meguires wax ?
